So, it finally happened. I crossed over the 200 pound mark! I weighed 199 pounds as of last week. I am so excited! This puts me at a weight loss of 61 pounds total since June, 2013.
But, this is only the beginning. Since I have now gotten under the 200 pound mark I am now working harder to reach my goal and get even healthier. I would like to reach 180 pounds by summer, so I am working pretty hard right now. I just finished my 4th 21 Day Challenge and have lost 30 pounds total since my first challenge in December of 2014. The challenges have really helped me to see that I have to eat right every day and work out every single day to reach my goal. I have been learning new recipes and trying new things which is broadening my horizons quite a bit.
I can also say that I am excited to see my doctor in April. I never, in my entire life, have been excited for a doctor's appointment, but for this one I am quite happy! I cannot wait to see the look on my doctor and her nurse's face when they see me. She told me last year that she would be happy if I could just get to 200 pounds. She said "I think you will feel amazing when you get to 200 pounds", when we discussed what my goal weight was. She thought that 170 pounds was too thin for my frame so we will revisit that discussion in a few weeks when I see her.
I will start another challenge the day after Easter and look forward to that. Most of the other time off between challenges I mess up quite a bit. This time, so far, I have been eating clean and working out every day with the exception of last night due to the tornadoes in our area.
I have been talking to a friend named Missy Todd, who first introduced me to the 21 Day Challenge lately. She has been such a supporter of my weight loss and she has been urging me to blog. So I am going to start trying to do this more often. I will try to blog more about recipes and other things as well. It is hard since I am a lot more active now and am not online quite as much. But I will try to offer inspiration for others as she is urging me to do this.
